Averses de Printemps

Part of ‘Les Pluies’, or the Rainfall Collection, this fabric’s name means ‘Spring Showers’. The collection was inspired by a small Japanese sample book discovered in an antiquarian bookshop, containing designs from the early 20th century for men’s day-to-day kimonos. The designs had a restrained and humble poetry, and lent themselves beautifully to reinterpretation. Averse de Printemps is a medium-weight linen with a print of raindrops falling against a background of intergrading horizontal grey and green bands.
