The influence of Mexican murals can be seen in this design with its playful surrealist mood. Pink City is the mental image of all cities in one: temples, pagodas, domes, minarets, mausoleums, obelisks and caryatids tumble over one another in this pastel-coloured maze of architectures, with giant oranges set among the buildings and pink flags fluttering against a light blue sky.
